With more support and upcoming co-laborations than can be mentioned, Dave Owen is quickly becoming one of the brightest stars in drum-n-bass; just go ask LTJ Bukem, Grooverider, Fabio or Bailey, whom all drop Dave's tunes on the regular. The young producer's style blends hip-hop and old soul samples w/ crisp drums to create a sound that is truly unique. Between a number of smaller releases, his 12" on Influence and massive 'Yo Girl' forthcoming on Creative Source Dave has had a great response in the DnB charts and top 10s for the past few months. Watch for much more to come from this musical savant.

After years of forced music lessons at a very early age, Michael Morel formed a natural aversion to traditional instruments like guitars, pianos or any one can read music for. It wasn’t until 1998 when he impulsively bought a didjeridu, the ancient Australian wind instrument, that his interest in making music was born.

Shortly afterwards, Morel moved to Santa Cruz, California where he developed a healthy obsession with drum n’ bass & jungle. He soon adopted the alias Indidjinous and began playing live didjeridu while other DJ’s spun, using various electric guitar pedals to distort the sound. After graduating college in 2002 he began experimenting with production, including his own didjeridu recordings in many tracks. In 2005, having created a good number of tunes, he finally felt compelled to learn to DJ. Today his performances typically consist of mixing his own tracks with like-minded tunes from fellow artists, sometimes with didjeridu layered over it.

In 2007 Morel moved to Washington D.C. where he continued developing his production techniques and became part of the DJ collective known as Digital Conspiracy. In early 2010 he again moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he resides today.

Citing major influences from Technical Itch, Dom & Roland, Amit, Konflict, Paradox, Teebee, and Hive, his tunes are reliably cinematic, tribal and dark. Morel’s sound span several styles of drum n’ bass including techstep, drumfunk, half-time, experimental, atmospheric & neurofunk. Overtly melodic sounds are almost wholly absent in his productions, instead he tends toward abstract sci-fi atmospherics, industrial sound effects, and dis-harmonic bass lines.
