Greater>Than come to Cielo on Thursday 19th for a launch party with a truly Mediterranean feel as Spain’s David Mendo and Italy’s Alex Kenji take charge of proceedings. When George Morel approached Mendo back in 2002 to record for his Groove On imprint the floodgates opened on a career from which he’s never looked back. “Tell Me”, his debut for the label, quickly hit the apex of the Hype Chart enabling him and studio partner Chab, to launch their Clarisse Records label and work with the likes of Roger Sanchez, Tom Stephan and Richie Santana. Two years ago the friends started their latest project, Club Science, with the single “Get High” a regular in sets for David Guetta, Pete Tong and Satoshi Tomiie. Alex Kenji (aka Alessandro Bacci) is similarly a man of many guises with pseudonyms including Yoshie Chandler, Combo, Green Sugar, HouseLovers, D.L.D., Orange Love, Kaiko and Itchy Bit. While supporters of his music include an equally diverse selection of the dance elite: JUSTICE, Kaskade, Chris Lake, Jason Nevins and Cirez D just a handful of his varied fans. And as with Mendo, Kenji’s DJ sets offer an impeccable house selection ranging from deep grooves to more techno-etched offerings designed to rock dancefloors to their very foundations..
