April 2nd is a very Good Friday as the extended weekend kicks off in style with the return of Turntables on the Hudson with our good friends Nickodemus & Simbad in command of business. When Nickodemus and Mariano started the Turntables on the Hudson (TOTH) parties in 1998 it was one of the first late night outdoor events in the city. With the addition of Groove Collective founding member Nappy G on percussion, the party quickly became an adventurous, young, free-spirited community known for its eclectic musical blend. That same philosophy is still very much evident today with TOTH very much a stable part of both New York clubbing life and Cielo’s monthly diary. There’s no pretense, no tricks, just a clear love of music and people that propel themselves for a truly joyous journey into the many facets of house.
