The Paradise Garage was a nightclub notable in the history of modern gay and nightclub cultures and in dance and pop music. It was founded by Michael Brody, its sole proprietor, and was located at 84 King Street, New York City. It operated from 1976 to 1987 and was the base for DJ Larry Levan. Its name derives from its origins as a parking garage. The Paradise Garage's business model was largely inspired by David Mancuso's Loft parties: no liquor was served, there were no sales of food or beverages, and the club was not open to the general public.

The sound system was developed by Richard Long and Associates (RLA) and was said by those that attended to be the best in New York City at that time. The club has been credited for its influence on the development of the modern dance club as it is today: unlike other clubs of its time, the Paradise Garage was focused on dancing rather than social interaction, and it was the first to put the DJ at the center of attention.

Maybe you were one of the thousands of people who were devoted weekly members for 10yrs. Maybe your current favorite dj/s /producers were members of this club getting their musical education/inspiration and now travel the world entertaining 1000's of people weekly. Maybe you have seen some documentaries, viewed pictures devoted to this venue and befriended some former members and listen to their stories.

Maybe you have no idea what this venue meant and still means to this day to the house music community. And thats ok.

Well here is your chance to relive history and create history as the past is brought together with the current and the future on Labor Day Weekend.

Original Paradise Garage Djs David Depino & Joey Llanos will be the guest djs with co-owner and DJ of "The Choice" Richard Vasquez and Melting Pot Global resident spinners Kervyn Mark and Kamala.
