Safeword is the result of a decade-long friendship and a mutual love for music between San Francisco's Clint Stewart and Marc Smith. The duo has worked side by side on music for years, so the eventual pairing was inevitable. Although the two share a great deal of the same musical interests, its the differences that make it. Both Stewart and Smith bring an individual perspective to the studio, creating an incredibly diverse dynamic ranging from deep lush house to the heavier side

halcyon presents is now a regular event at cielo on the 3rd Friday of the month! To kick off the new slot we’re bringing in San Francisco’s quickly rising stars Safeword for their NYC DEBUT. The production duo of Clint Stewart and Marc Smith have been on the tips of tastemaker’s tongues for the past 6 months and now they are on the verge of a huge breakout so don’t miss this opportunity to be there as they take on NYC for the very first time. Fresh like! Driving it home to close the night will be our own Taimur Agha of Blkmarket and Bandwagon fame and to get things started we welcome the dynamic duo of Lauren Ritter (soon to be releasing on the reSolute Label) and Jimmy Valllance, who is one half of Bob Moses, whose work can be heard on Scissor and Thread’s new release by Frank & Tony.
