On Saturday 21st Paradizo is where you’ll hear our very own Nicolas Matar plying is trade to an always-appreciative dancefloor. If you had to pigeonhole his musical style, it could best be described as a mix of jazzy and funky house with disco, African and Latin influences adding the spice. He can play deep house but is not just another deep house DJ; he can play ambient house but not of the swirl-and-sensory variety. Instead his sets draw influences from such far-flung destinations as Ibiza, South America and Japan. For a takeout slice of Paradizo, our latest compilation, ‘Cielo Sunrise’, is mixed by Nicolas Matar and out now on Nervous Records featuring an edifying selection of music from Plex, Daso & Orfin, Kyodai and Layo & Bushwacka!
