NYSalsababy Dance Space & NYSalsaFiesta Meetup Group present an exciting community dance event to get your feet movin' and your fingers snappin' on May 17, Saturday. Brooklyn’s very own “Salsa Fling” Spring Meetup & Dance Social at a 170,000 sq. ft. recreation complex located in Floyd Bennett Field.
Date & Time:
May 17, 2008 (Saturday); 7pm to 12 midnight.
Where is the event?
Aviator Sports Complex @ Floyd Bennett Field - Hangar 5 (Flatbush Avenue South, off Belt Parkway, Exit 11S). We'll be on the 2nd floor mezzanine dance space next to the sports bar.
Who should come?
Everyone who wants to learn and enjoys dancing to hot Salsa rhythms and cool Cha Cha beats, in a fun and festive atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer, a salsa newcomer or just a music lover looking for a fun time, you’re sure to enjoy the evening. Beginner lesson at 7pm to get you moving on the dance floor!
Why do I want to come?
Because NYSalsaFiesta Parties are all about having fun learning cool moves, meeting new friends and dancing with fellow Salsa lovers. Added bonus: 5 top-notch professional dance teams performing hot Salsa numbers for your viewing pleasure at 10:30pm.
When does the party start?
Doors open at 6pm, so come early and socialize at the Sports Bar, overlooking 2 ice rinks with hockey and skating action. Or have a bite at the food court downstairs (open until 11:30pm) before dancing off the night away!

NYSalsaFiesta Meetups are fun parties! There's no need to bring partners, we're here to socialize and meet new friends. Whether you choose to learn a few moves or simply come for music and dance, our goal is to have loads of fun! So let's meetup and party!

*** General Admission: $15 per person (wristband at door)

Aviator Sports & Recreation at Floyd Bennett Field - Hangar 5;
Flatbush Avenue South, off Belt Parkway at Exit 11S.
• Take Exit 11S off the Belt Parkway – Flatbush Ave. South – towards the Rockaways.
• Go South on Flatbush Avenue about 1½ miles. (You will see Aviator’s fields and football goal posts on left, but the entrance to Floyd Bennett Field is still another ¾ of a mile ahead). Keep going…
• Make LEFT at the LAST TRAFFIC light (just before the toll bridge) to enter Floyd Bennett Field.
• You will pass the bump and a guard house.
• Take FIRST LEFT; (you are now heading north on a former runway, parallel to Flatbush Ave. Go ¾ of a mile.
• Make LEFT into parking area when you see the last group of hangars and a British Airways Concorde.
• Find parking and proceed to Aviator main entrance. Go directly to 2nd floor
mezzanine (left to sports bar), and thru the glass doors to our dance space.
