Not to be out gunned, Paradizo on Saturday May 22nd features Cielo’s other star resident Willie Graff. As with fellow spinner Nicolas Matar, Graff’s sets are built upon a belief that organ music heals the soul and replenishes the batteries. With a mixture of live musicianship, Latin-rhythms and funky riffs he’s a master at blending the old with the new, the upbeat with the downtempo, and merging influences as varied and as rousing as bongo-laden jams to tuneful and obscure samples. The combination is a refreshing fusion of feel-good melodies and edgy deep-house grooves that always result in an enjoyable and highly memorable night.
