On Wednesday, April 30th, S.O.B.'s, New York's Home of Universal Music, presents Luciano, "The Messenger", in a live concert. The performance will mark Luciano's first New York appearance since the release of his album 'Jah Is My Navigator' at the beginning of 2008.
Luciano has long been viewed as the greatest hope for roots reggae's survival in the digital dancehall era. With the release of his landmark CD "Where There Is Life" in 1995, he emerged as one of the most important reggae singers in decades. A superstar in his native Jamaica, Luciano combines his love of God and beauty and creates a soulful, spiritual blend of rock and R&B-tinged reggae. With over ten albums, Luciano has consistently proven that his is a message that the masses want to hear.
With influences like Stevie Wonder, Frankie Paul and Dennis Brown the music of Luciano is unique and eclectic. Luciano is perhaps the most universally revered figure to emerge in reggae over the past decade and S.O.B.'s is the perfect venue to host such an icon.
